Brooke and Grant found each other on a popular dating app, then had their first, wonderfully long date in a coffee shop. Their relationship grew and Brooke had no idea Grant would later be proposing to her during what she thought was just a "really nice dinner" arranged by Grant in a private cabana in Aruba. Brooke thought the photographer who asked to take photos of them was just there from the resort to capture photos for the resort's instagram! He requested that they walk down to the surf for more photos, and to turn away and then back toward each other. When Brooke turned around, Grant was on one knee and proposed with the most amazing sunset as a backdrop. Brooke said it was the happiest day of their lives...
But we know that happiest day they had together definitely met its match! On Brooke and Grant's beautiful summer wedding day, all the events took place at The Madison Hotel, a grand and luxurious Georgian style hotel and event venue in Morristown, New Jersey. The large, historic hotel has amazing spaces for bride and groom morning preparations, for photos and for the ceremony and reception.
Brooke and Grant got ready in separate suites at the beautiful hotel. Brooke and her party prepared for the day in the Madison Suite, while the guys finished getting ready in the Washington Room. The bridal party didn't need to be dressed and ready until later, so they enjoyed their hair and makeup sessions in their matching robes and had some really fabulous group photos taken, too!
After Brooke's hair and makeup was perfected, she dressed into her amazing Nicole + Felicia bridal gown with help from her mother and matron of honor (her sister, Taylor, whose wedding we filmed just a few years ago!). Her beautiful dress was covered in sparkling sequins all throughout, had a plunging deep-v neckline and a lovely removable overskirt that created a ball gown silhouette as viewed from the back. Absolutely stunning!
Grant and his groomsmen dressed into their classic black tuxedos, and all looked fantastic, of course, while back in their own suite, Brooke's beautiful bridal party put on their deep rose colored gowns. They gathered their luscious bouquets from Fleurs du Mois, so lovely and striking in various shades of rose with lively peach accents.
Brooke and Grant then had their first look at each other on their wedding day outside by the main entrance to The Madison Hotel. Look at how excited and how overcome with emotion they were! We were so happy to film alongside Erin McGeever and her second shooter, Jess, from Grace & Ardor Co. as photographs were taken of this special moment, the formal portraits afterwards and of all the wonderful events throughout the day.
It was then time for their ceremony to begin in The Conservatory of The Madison Hotel. Beautiful, bright flowers and fresh plants hung from the glass ceiling and a spectacular floral arch in shades of pink, rose, blush and peach provided the perfect backdrop for Brooke and Grant to recite their vows. Their ceremony, officiated by Brooke's uncle, was very personalized and contained a bit of both Catholic and Jewish elements. They exchanged rings, kissed and Grant was sure to break the glass at the conclusion!
The Conservatory was transformed into a gorgeous reception space for the party to follow. The announcement was made of the arrival of the wedding party and the couple of honor, then Brooke and Grant danced their first dance together. Sweet parent dances followed, as Brooke danced with her father and Grant with his mother. Then toasts to the newlyweds were given by Brooke's sister and by Grant's best man and best friend. We loved hearing Brooke's sister's stories from when they were young, and about Grant's college adventures and beyond.
Brooke and Grant's union was celebrated by all as they were hoisted on chairs to dance the Hora at the reception! Everyone continued to dance until dinner was served, when we heard wonderful speeches from Grant's parents and sister. All the speeches and toasts given that evening were so thoughtful and sweet.
The party was far from over as dancing resumed after dinner! Brooke, Grant and their friends and family danced all night long thanks to the heart-pumping music provided by Magic Moments. Brooke and Grant took a break just to cut that amazing cake from Calandra's Bakery. And everyone continued to have such a blast all night!
We were so grateful to Brooke and Grant for choosing us to film their wedding day. We had a fantastic time filming Brooke's sister and brother-in-law's wedding a few years ago, and their own wedding event was equally phenomenal. Their family is so sweet, the venue breathtaking and the entire day just full of love and joy. Congratulations, Brooke and Grant!
