Jamie and Joey are such a fun, easy-going couple and we feel their wedding really reflected that! They chose the industrial chic, yet warm and romantic, Front & Palmer to hold both their ceremony and reception on an especially beautiful fall day. And it was such a pleasure to be a part of it all!
Jamie and Joey met in a club in Atlantic City one evening as each was there to visit friends with shore homes. Later, Joey would choose this area to propose… the place where they first met. As they walked down the boardwalk, Joey led her to an empty pier and asked her to be his wife. Afterwards, they went back to Joey’s house where their families were waiting to celebrate with them!
On the day of their wedding, the two got ready in separate rooms at the Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia. Joey and his groomsmen relaxed together in one suite before getting dressed into their classic black tuxedos, while Jamie and her bridesmaids & maid of honor had their hair and makeup done by Jamie’s friend and a family member. (Jamie’s braided hairstyle was amazing!). She, her bridesmaids/bridesman and her mother all wore fun plaid shirts as they got ready for the day and toasted to the happy couple!
Then, Jamie put on her gorgeous wedding gown, an amazing Ines Di Santo dress with a plunging illusion neckline and a beautiful lace detail on the bodice. The row of tiny buttons fastened over her sheer back were simply fabulous! Jamie’s father had the privilege of seeing her first all dressed and ready before she headed out to meet Joey.
In the gardens of Independence National Historical Park outside their hotel, Jamie and Joey met for the first time that special day. They were all smiles and laughter! After their exciting first look, their sweet pup was waiting nearby to share in the celebration! Their formal photo shoots took place outside along the city streets on this lovely day by Love Me Do Photography, and it was truly such a pleasure to work with their team.
Then it was time to travel to Front & Palmer for their beautiful Jewish marriage ceremony. After the ketubah was signed, they were escorted separately by their parents to meet together under the gorgeous chuppah, beautifully arranged with gauzy fabric, lavish blooms in deep burgundy and magenta and greenery by Papertini. Jamie and Joey recited wonderful, personal vows they wrote for each other (which included some back tickling promises, too!) before being pronounced united in marriage. Joey broke the glass, then shouts of ‘Mazel Tov’ and cheering led them back down the aisle, together!
Jamie and Joey’s reception continued there at Front & Palmer as EBE Events & Entertainment’s Milan 77 kicked off the evening with a dance set for everyone. Then, Jamie and Joey were formally introduced as the newest ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ and we loved the spirited, high energy start to their first dance! It really reflected their fun-loving personalities and brought a smile to everyone! Of course, this led into the dance of the Hora (and we were so glad Joey had a strong grip on his chair!). Jamie’s father’s toast was so sentimental and lovely, and Joey’s brothers, his best men’s speeches were equal parts touching and lighthearted.
It was a day that was filled with romance as well as fun, excitement and laughter. To echo the words of Joey’s brother, “We wish you both many years of love, happiness and fun!” Congratulations, Jamie and Joey!
