Alicia and Justin’s wedding day was simply incredible and it was so fantastic to have the opportunity to work with this wonderful family again! Alicia’s sister is Casey, and we filmed Casey and Colin’s wedding at the Horticulture Center a couple of years ago. For this beautiful wedding day, we were celebrating at the exquisite Philadelphia Country Club! And it was truly just as special to have the opportunity to film Alicia and Justin and their beautiful wedding event!
Alicia and Justin met as many couples do, online, and both felt right away that everything came so easily, so naturally in their budding relationship. They just knew they had found the one with whom they were destined to spend the rest of their lives. Their love was no surprise, but Justin’s proposal definitely was! He decided to propose at the enchanted Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Alicia had no idea that a photographer that had been hired by Justin had been following them around all day, taking photos of them together. Of course, the photographer was there to capture the moment when Justin asked Alicia to marry him!
Let’s fast forward now to their wonderful fall wedding day. While Justin got ready for the day with his two groomsmen at a nearby hotel, Alicia enjoyed spending time with her mother and her bridal party at her venue! Alicia’s bridal party had their hair and makeup professionally done by Onlo, then the two lovely attendants dressed into their long navy gowns. And Justin and his groomsmen looked so handsome wearing their classic black tuxedos for this very formal event. To celebrate the day, the guys toasted the groom before they were ready to go.
Alicia then dressed into her amazing wedding gown! Just as Alicia and her mother helped her sister put on her gown for her wedding day, Alicia’s sister & matron of honor along with her mother did so for Alicia. She wore an elegant silk, strapless mermaid-silhouetted dress with delicate buttons all down the back and a graceful long lace-trimmed veil in the back of her hair for the ceremony. Alicia looked absolutely stunning!
Grace and her team from Asya Photography took photos as Justin arrived at the country club for his first look with Alicia. And there, outside on this crisp but wonderfully sunny day, they saw each other for the first time. It was such an emotional and exciting moment and we were so happy that we were there to capture it for them.
It was then time to travel to Our Mother of Good Counsel in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania for their ceremony! The procession of the adorable ring bearers and flower girls signaled that the bride had arrived. And Alicia walked down the aisle on the arm of her loving father towards Justin, who was so emotional as he watched her approach. Father John F. Deary celebrated their Catholic Mass, rich in sacred tradition. The two recited their vows and exchanged rings, then Father Deary congratulated them and asked if they wanted to kiss each other!
Then, it was back to the historic Philadelphia Country Club for the reception, which was customized with gorgeous floral centerpieces in white and blush from Gina Conoshenti of Zieger & Sons! Alicia and Justin entered the grand ballroom and kicked off the evening’s dancing with a sweet, wonderfully choreographed first dance.
Then, all the guests had the chance to briefly warm up the dance floor before we heard a beautiful, touching welcome speech and toast from Alicia’s father, where he told us about the first time he met his daughter and his excitement over her growing relationship with Justin, as well as a loving blessing from her mother. Alicia’s sister and Justin’s best man gave perfect toasts, right from the heart, followed by those sweet parent dances. Then, the dance floor filled up and remained packed for the rest of the night! Remixologists totally rocked the house and everyone had so much fun dancing the night away!
We want to thank Alicia and Justin for allowing us to share in their beautiful wedding day. Congratulations and all our best wishes to the newlyweds for a lifetime of love and happiness together!
