Shannon and Drew met in New York City, but Drew 'popped the question' in when they were out in California!
The couple had traveled to the West Coast for their good friend's birthday celebration. On the afternoon following the party, Shannon and Drew went out to enjoy lunch in Malibu. The plan was to meet up with Drew's sister and her friends, just a short walk along the beach from the restaurant. But as the two strolled along the beach, Shannon noticed Drew had stopped and turned around to find him down on bended knee. Of course, Shannon said 'yes'!
We're excited to film all our weddings, but this one was extra special for us. Shannon's sister, Ali, whose wedding we filmed eight years ago, was one of her dear matrons of honor. And Ali's husband, Tony, was their ceremony officiant!
Shannon and Drew's wedding day took place in New York in the lovely Hamptons town of Bridgehampton. It was a perfect, late-summer's day for an oceanside wedding at the pavilion at Bridgehampton Club. And we couldn't have been more excited to be working once again with planner extraordinaire Claire Bean!
Shannon prepared for her day at Ali's home, while the groom and groomsmen got ready at Drew's parents' house in East Hampton. After a dip in the pool, the guys dressed into their classic black tuxedos, all looking spectacular for this special day. And Shannon's bridal party were so beautiful in their mismatched pink and sage gowns, this wedding's romantic watercolor theme colors.
Shannon looked absolutely stunning in her Monique Lhuillier ball gown. It featured delicate spaghetti straps, a corset bodice and romantic lace embroidery throughout. We loved how light and airy it was as well, very fitting for a beachside wedding day (and she'll have a second gorgeous dress for the reception!). Shannon's luscious ivory floral bouquet from Winston Flowers was the perfect compliment to this beautiful bride.
The ceremony took place outdoors alongside the rustic, beachy pavilion at Bridgehampton Club. Impressive floral arrangements flanked the aisle and the floral installation where the couple recited their solemn vows was simply amazing!
Tony did a fantastic job officiating the ceremony and sharing a personal message, reminding us that there's no better word than 'love' to describe the feelings on this very special day. The couple then exchanged rings, made their enduring promises to each other and were pronounced 'husband and wife'!
Then, we got ready for the reception which was tented on the lawn at Bridgehampton. There was a decidedly coastal vibe at this gorgeous event, with florals and décor in soft sage green, light pink, a touch of sunny yellow and lavender. Lanterns and lush greenery were draped from the ceiling to add yet another layer of interest and romance. And the citrus elements reminded us that summer wasn't yet officially over!
Shannon and Drew entered the tent to the cheers of their family and friends and danced a very fun, energetic first dance together, even closing with a lift! You could virtually feel the electricity in the air!
That evening, we heard fantastic toasts from the two best men, the three matrons of honor and from Shannon's father, who even had some fun with Drew's father and some NFL jerseys! Everyone spoke so eloquently and expressed such endearment and love for Shannon and Drew.
Then the party really got started and The Starlight Orchestra rocked the house that night! The tent's dance floor remained packed all evening long as guests danced and celebrated along with the couple of honor.
What a wonderful wedding celebration this was! It truly was such an honor and pleasure to be a part of capturing the day's events for Shannon and Drew. They're so sweet, their family is so lovely and their wedding day was a dream. Congratulations to Shannon and Drew!
