Vanessa and Danny were married on a characteristically spring day… a little bit of clear skies and a little bit of rain. But as they say, rain is a sign of good fortune for a wedding and the pouring rain definitely did not quash any of the excitement and joy on this marvelous wedding day!
Vanessa and Danny’s wedding was held at Brandywine Manor House in Honey Brook, PA. It was a perfect rustic chic event with the theme, “Our paths crossed at the right time”. So many of the exceptional décor pieces and flower arrangements were DIY… you would have guessed they were professionally made! In keeping with the “crossed paths” theme, crossed arrows were featured throughout the event.
Their ceremony had been scheduled for an outdoor location but because of the rain, it had to be moved to the covered patio. This was actually was a blessing in disguise because guests then had to stand together around Vanessa and Danny. We loved seeing all their friends and family gathered so close around them while they spoke their vows to each other. It really magnified the feeling of community and love as everyone was right there to celebrate and support Vanessa and Danny.
Vanessa was such a radiant bride! Her gorgeous strapless gown featured lovely ruching and a sparkling rhinestone belt. We loved how the mermaid silhouette blossomed with ruffles! In keeping with a more casual country chic look, the groomsmen wore suspenders and ties without jackets and Vanessa’s beautiful bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses all in light pastel pink.
The rain stopped and we were able to go outside after the ceremony to capture video of the wedding party as photographer Michael Ash Smith from Ash Imagery took really awesome (and unique!) photos. The wedding party put on animal masks, as Vanessa loves animals, which made for some fantastic photos and images for their wedding video.
Guests were also able to play a few games before the reception kicked off inside the Manor Barn. This historic rustic setting features grand chandeliers, rough hewn beams and twinkling string lights… an ideal location for a rustic chic wedding event! And perfect for an exceptional party!
After very touching speeches from the maid of honor, groomsmen and Vanessa, Funktion 67 DJ Entertainment provided energetic music and fired up an evening of fun for Vanessa and Danny’s wedding reception! It was truly a wonderful evening and an amazing wedding event.
